Obtaining The Standard A Motorcycle Licence (A2)

Anyone over the age of 17 can train and take their test to obtain the A2 motorcycle licence. If you are under 21 then this is your only option.

We offer 125 intensive courses or lessons in this category for training up to test standards. We use Suzuki 125cc Learner Legal machines, which is the requirement for taking the practical test for this category of licence.

You will be assessed by the same instructor during your CBT who will then go on to train you to test standards.

If you have already obtained your CBT, then an assessment will be required so the Instructor can assess your requirements.

We offer 2 hourly lessons or intensive courses (usually 3 days). Sometimes lessons will be recommended before doing a course, depending on the ability of the rider.

Your training includes use of safety equipment, radios, bike, fuel and insurance. if you are on an intensive course.

Direct access

At 21 or over you can train and take your test to obtain the Standard A motorcycle licence. A full unrestricted licence allowing you to ride any size of motorcycle.

We offer intensive DAS courses or lessons in this category for training up to test standards. We use kawasaki ER 500cc machines, which is the minimum requirement for taking the practical test for this category of licence.

You will be assessed by the same instructor during your CBT who will then go on to train you to test standards.

Regardless of where you obtained your CBT, you will be required to have an assessment so the Instructor can assess your requirements.
